Movies 1

This week was a hard one. Lots of unpacking, lots of boxes that needed to be crashed and tossed away, lots of laundry and lots of organizing was accomplished.  I was alone and needed some noise in the background to keep myself going. I like multitasking because it makes me feel more productive. Yes, you are right as I am writing this I am watching a show that I used to watch while I lived in my home country. Therefore, while doing all the tasks mentioned above I managed to watch nine movies.

The movies I watched this week are:

1. A good day to die hard: such a big disappointment. I was looking forward to seeing Bruce Willis working together with  Jai Courtney. Its been a while since I saw a movie with Bruce Willies and I always thought he is a great actor. The movie eneded up being a disaster in my opinion. Firstly, I speak Russian and I absolutely despise when a movie maker uses an american character as a " russian" character. When they pronounce something I can barely understand what they are trying to say, majority of them cannot pronounce the letter "R".  They always make the russian side the dark one and the American side always wins. So cliche, its like a dream that the american nation has and that can be only acomplished in movies.

2. Family weekend:  a simple cute movie about a girl who just wants her family to be normal and supportive of her. Nothing impressive, easy to watch and the most important part is that it has a  happy ending.

3. Divorce Invitation: nothing extraordinary just  easy to watch,  cute and very actual subject nowadays- adultery leading to a divorce.  Learned a good clause for a prenuptial agreement. Not telling you which one, you would have to watch the movie in order to fond out.

4. Hit and Run: after I saw the trailer on the TV I had this movie on a MUST see list. I was really looking forward to see it and was so disappointed. I was very close to stopping the movie half way through, but decided to watch it till the end in order to be fair and accurate in my judgment. I was never a fan of Kristen Bell but was hopping that the presence of  Dax Shepard and Bradley Cooper will help her bad acting and I was so wrong.

5. Good Deeds:  LOVED the movie. I couldn't believe the low raiting it had. I  am a big fan of Tyler Perry and I think he is a great actor. The movie reminded me about the most important things in life. You have to follow your own destiny and your dreams.

6. To Rome with Love: in my opinion it did not have a good story and was just bad. Even the presence of Penelope Cruz cannot save this movie.

7. Parental Guidance:cute, nice, family moovie. Made me laugh and it had a good story.

8. Friends with Kids: I highly recommend the movie. Good story about the real pylons of a good marriage. Sometimes love and pation is not enough.

9. The Big wedding: not the best movie I watched this week. Had a few funny momments but I felt like it was incomplete and not as good as the trailer pictured it to be.

I hope this helps you in deciding what to watch  in the near future.

Cheers,

The beginning...

I never thought that it would be so difficult to write my first post. Many ideas and thoughts that I want to share with you. Probably I will start with the most recent news in my life. I moved to a small city called Shippensburg situated in Center Pennsylvania. My boyfriend got a job here. We have been together for more then three years and we both decided to move in together.

So, here I am all unpacked and ready to start a new chapter in my life. I have been planing to start my blog for a while now, but because of various reasons one of them being bad internet connection at my old place. Now that I have fast and amazing internet I have  no more excuses.

As you know moving to a new place involves a bit of spending. First month rent, deposit, pet deposit (he has a dog), U haul cargo trailer and lots lots lots of others expenses. We made it work. We are both GREAT at budgeting. When I graduated graduate school in 2010 I had $60 000 in debt, now I have $23 000. During this time I took a trip where I visit my relatives in Europe then had a few other vacations.

My first advice is to count all the expenses you have. When I want to purchase something I always give up something, or sell something. I am always selling things on Amazon, Ebay or Craigslit. Things I got from some one who was not using it or things I have that I do not use. My best friend calls me Rachel from " Friends" because she always sold or exchanged whatever she received as a gift.

I do not eat put often instead I cook at home a lot. I feel like nowadays you can learn how to cook anything you are in the mood for at home. A little research on the internet and - VoilÄ. Also, I do not go shopping much. I only buy things that are extremely necessary or are on sale. If i think my pants are old and I can use a new pair I get them. And if I feel like I just want a new pair of pants there is a big chance they are not coming home with me :)

I do not have a smart phone. I feel that the extra $20- $30 a month that you pay in order to have one, in 1 year period can be more then $300 that I can use towards something else. Besides that I have internet at home and there is nothing that cannot wait until I get home from work. Don't get me wrong I had an IPhone for two years. I liked it but I did not feel like it's an important part of my life and that I couldn't live without. Also, I felt I was wasting way too much precious time on social media sites instead of enjoying life and people around me.

I do not buy coffee at Starbucks or other stores but I make my own. I very seldom will treat myself to a coffee from Starbucks, I feel if I spend every day $1 for coffee at the end of the year I spend $365 for one thing I can make at home and save that dinero.

I never take my car to be cleaned, I do it myself. There are so many things that you can do by yourself and save money.

Anyway, I hope this new journey will be great! I am looking forward to meeting new people, paying off my debt and becoming debt free, growing stronger together with my boyfriend and growing as a person.

Cheers,
